Do what you love, love what you do…this is how Sew Rustic was born. Why did it take me so long to learn this lesson?
Lessons are actually “learned” when they are understood and appreciated. I’ve learned many lessons in my lifetime, some more meaningful and educational than others. I’ve absorbed each lesson, mulled over the meaning desperately trying to discover why each was so important. Sometimes I obsessed over why a particular lesson arrived when it did. I’ve also watched painfully while other people are in the moment of learning their own lessons. Difficult lessons – the lessons that one has to learn on their own.
Loving what you do really DOES matter. Each day is new and beautiful, filled with meaning and success. Well, most days…everyone has ‘off days.’ I wake up ready to create and design something new. Maybe it will be an item that might be handed down as a family heirloom, perhaps something that will be so loved that it will become tattered and torn. Something for a special little one given with love from a Grandmother, friend or parent.
Every new order I receive is created with the same passion, care and love passed down to me from Grandma Freda. Every item is special. And with every order I stitch a piece of my soul into it. Go and do what you love, and YOU will love what you do!
